Brinsley Barnes III (son of Deaf John. He is a grandson of Brinsley I) b. 1766 NC d. 1855 NC Parents: Deaf John and Ruth FISHER) (aka Brinsley III of Alexander Co., NC) Find A Grave list a memorial for him at Three Forks Baptist Church in Alexander County, NC. There is no tombstone, and it should be noted that the memorial was posted by an individual whose account was terminated by Wikitree.com for unreliable documentation on many profiles.

Brinsley Barnes (son of Aaron Ernest, son of Brinsley, son of Deaf John. He is the 2nd great-grandson of Brinsley I). He was born in 1844 and was a Private in Company G, 37th NC Infantry, and was killed at the Battle of Hanover Courthouse, in Hanover, Virginia on May 27, 1862. His marker is in the Little River Baptist Church Cemetery, Alexander County, NC.
